33-year old, Jasmine Williams from Montgomery County P.A. has reportedly been indicted for wire and mail fraud after allegedly filing fraudulent documents and illegally receiving around $1.5 million in FEMA funds following Hurricane Ida in 2021.
A report from 6-ABC Action News said Williams has been accused of submitting fraudulent documents to FEMA on behalf of dozens of others in Eastern Pennsylvania.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office said the fraudulent documents filed by Williams included fraudulent leases, letters from landlords, utility bills, earning statements, and home repair estimates.
Williams is looking at a whopping 960-years behind bars if convicted of all charges.
